ANWE recognises the important role coaches play in not only educating Working Equitation enthusiasts, but also in the development of the sport to the highest levels. To bring our sport here in Australia into line with WAWE we need to have a cohesive and orthodox approach to the education of our coaches. This will ensure that the information students receive is up to date and common amongst all ANWE coaches.
The Education and Performance Committee has developed a Coaching Course for Working Equitation Coaches. The course will run initially as a pilot scheme in Western Australia starting at the end of April, 2024. Once this has concluded and the course reviewed, it will be offered to those ANWE members in other states who wish to gain official recognition as ANWE accredited Coaches.
More updates will be shared at the conclusion of the testing of the pilot scheme, after the program has been assessed and any necessary improvements made.
